Scottsdale Web Design
Custom, Fast, Search-Ready Websites Built by a Senior Local Developer
Free consultation, in person in Scottsdale or over the phone. Building sites since 2008.
AgaveIS designs and builds custom websites for Scottsdale businesses, by hand, on a modern stack, by one senior developer who has been shipping software since 2008. The office is on East Camelback Road a few minutes from Old Town, so the person who scopes your project can sit across a table from you, and that is the same person who writes the code.
Scottsdale Buyers Compare Before They Call
Scottsdale is a comparison market. A homeowner in North Scottsdale shortlisting contractors, a patient choosing between practices off Scottsdale Road, someone picking an advisor along the Camelback corridor: they open three or four tabs, skim for ten seconds each, and close whatever looks dated or loads slowly. Your site is being judged next to businesses that spent real money on theirs. A stock theme reads as a stock theme, and it loses the comparison before anyone gets to your copy. The answer is not more decoration. It is a site that appears instantly, says what you do in the first screen, and makes calling or messaging you obvious from every page.
Old Town, the Airpark, Kierland, and North Scottsdale
Scottsdale is really several markets stacked into one city, and the site that works in each is a different site. Old Town businesses, restaurants, galleries, salons, bars, and event venues, live on mobile: hours, menu, parking, and a tap-to-call button that loads before the light turns green. Scottsdale Airpark is a business-to-business market of aviation services, light manufacturing, medical device firms, and professional offices, where the site has to hold up while a procurement manager reads it, which means real capability pages and real depth. North Scottsdale and Kierland skew toward established practices and service companies, medical and dental, aesthetics, financial advisors, and high-end home services, where the job is to look credible and make booking effortless. We build for the market you are actually in rather than a generic small-business layout that fits none of them.
Want a straight answer on what your site would cost?
No obligation, and no sales team. You talk to the developer.
Hand-Coded, Not a Template
Most web design sold in 2026 is a stock theme stretched over a page builder, marked up, and quietly slowed down by a dozen plugins. AgaveIS hand-codes sites on Next.js and React, which is why they load fast, score well on Google's Core Web Vitals, and are not hostage to a plugin subscription you have to keep renewing. You own the result outright. There is no platform you cannot leave, no theme license, and no junior somewhere else learning on your budget.
What Ships With Every Site
The same foundation goes into every project, whatever the size:
- Mobile-first layouts, because most Scottsdale local searches happen on a phone.
- A tap-to-call number and a contact form wired to an inbox you actually read.
- Clean semantic markup, structured data, an accurate sitemap, and per-page titles and descriptions.
- Name, address, and phone details that match your Google Business Profile exactly, so the two reinforce each other.
- Analytics and conversion tracking, so you can tell which pages produce calls instead of guessing.
- Room to grow into e-commerce or a web application without a rebuild.
Search Visibility Is Built In, Not Bolted On
A beautiful site nobody finds is a brochure in a drawer. Structure, speed, and markup are decided during the build, which is the cheapest possible moment to get them right, and they are most of what separates a page that can rank from one that cannot. From there, ongoing local SEO compounds the result: the Google Business Profile, the map pack, and the pages that answer what Scottsdale customers type. Design, performance, and search are one job here, not three invoices that never quite line up.
How a Scottsdale Project Actually Runs
First a conversation about what the site has to accomplish and who it has to convince. Then a fixed-scope quote, so the number is settled before work starts. Then structure and content, which is usually the part clients underestimate, followed by design of the key page templates, then the build. You get a review round on a live staging link, not a slide deck. Launch includes redirect mapping if you are replacing an existing site, plus analytics, search console, and sitemap submission. Afterward you get a handover walkthrough and the ability to reach the person who built it. Currently booking 2 to 4 weeks out.
One Person, Accountable
The person who scopes your site designs it, builds it, and answers the phone afterward. No salesperson promising what a junior then has to deliver, no offshore handoff, no mystery about who is doing the work. AgaveIS deliberately takes a small number of projects so each one gets senior attention and ships on a scope you agreed to up front. The same engineering discipline behind a 2+ petabyte data platform at Tempest Telecom goes into making sure a small-business site is fast, secure, and maintainable. Business over the city line is welcome too: see Phoenix web design for work across the rest of the Valley.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you an actual Scottsdale web designer or an offshore reseller?
A local one. AgaveIS works out of 7150 E Camelback Rd, Suite 444, a few minutes from Old Town, and has been building software and websites since 2008. The person who designs and builds your site is the person you talk to. No offshore subcontracting and no account manager standing between you and the work.
Can we meet in person somewhere in Scottsdale?
Yes. Kickoffs and review meetings happen at your office, ours, or a coffee shop in between, anywhere from Old Town to the Airpark to North Scottsdale. Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Tempe, and the East Valley are all in range too. The build itself runs remotely because that is simply faster.
Do you build on WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace?
Only when a client specifically needs to self-edit in WordPress. By default we hand-code sites on Next.js and React because that produces faster, more secure, better-ranking sites than a page-builder theme. You are not locked into a template, a plugin treadmill, or a monthly platform fee you cannot walk away from.
How much does a Scottsdale website cost?
It depends on scope, and every project starts with a fixed-scope quote so you know the number before you commit. A focused site for one location is a different budget than a multi-service site with custom functionality or e-commerce. The free consultation tells you which one your project is, whether or not you hire us.
Can you redesign my existing site without losing my Google rankings?
Yes. Redesigns are handled with URL mapping, 301 redirects, and metadata preserved or improved, so existing rankings carry over instead of resetting. Most stories about a redesign tanking traffic come from shops that skipped exactly this step. Here it is part of the job, not an add-on.
Will my site be fast and show up on Google?
That is the point of building it by hand. Sites ship with strong Core Web Vitals, clean semantic markup, schema, an accurate sitemap, and per-page metadata so they are ready to rank. Design and search visibility are the same job done well, not two separate invoices.
